There is a wisdom of the head, and a wisdom of the heart!
Charles Dickens
Our brains are wired to connect with others, and when we connect, our lives are richer, more fulfilling, and longer.
Contributing positively to the social fabric of your community!
In the SOCIAL ME unit, students explore the ‘tribal’ need that humans have to connect and communicate, and the ‘dark side’ of that human need that causes us to hurt and ostracise others. They will explore the neuroscience of the social brain and reflect on their own social behaviour at home, at school and in the community. Students will discover and come to understand that every human has basic human rights and that when everyone is kind, inclusive and embraces the wonderful diversity of humans we live with, the world is a much better place.
